Editorial

It is 24th February, on calendar-and I’m writing this editorial casually sitting back at home. It is a usual lazy Saturday morning and I was going through the news paper half an hour ago (“Anandabazar” to be specified-but not the regular news section-I was actually going through their special Saturday bulletin-“Patrika”)-when I have come across third cover story about cyber crime. As I have found, it seems to be very easy now a days to hack other people’s accounts, creating porn images and distributing them and even to threat people for their lives. At this era we are registering for another new site for our recently published magazine. Now I think you have already start thinking that why I am writing such nuisance while writing an editorial. I think there is some link-we are on a verge of entering this cyber domain which is in the news for its wrong usage. We have named our magazine “Swapner Istehar” (as you can already see)-and while asking people whether they will like a copy of it they told us that the name is indicating that the magazine will carry some sort of messages (which may be political in the sense). Now I think there is something to tell-not in the magazine though-because we think that the world of books is still quiet normal-but in this site we really have some messages to give.
We are creating this site in the cyber world which is packed up with thousands of cranks (presently known as hackers). But as our name signifies we have some dream (“swapno”) though-in a world where some people even try to hamper other’s privacy and thus claiming themselves to be geniuses, those dreams may seemed to be quite foolish emotions. But that’s how we are and we just can’t help it. We want this cyber world to be what it is maid for-to be a bridge among different cultures, different people, different world- to share thoughts and grow friends-that’s what it’s all about, and we think that’s what life is all about to exist and let other people also exist in their own happy way. So this is a new dream, a new start-a new vision to create our own site just to share thoughts and to create friends. So we dedicate the official website of our magazine to a crime free cyber world (sentiments!-and that’s all)…
